The Town of Pawling consists of 51.6 miles of roads, 10 miles of which are gravel roads.
The Highway Department is responsible for:
ØMaintenance and construction of roads within the Town
ØTree trimming and brush removal within Town right-of-way
ØMS4 Regulations (Stormwater drainage)
ØDead tree removal on Town property
ØSnow plowing and sanding, including an additional 20.25 miles of county roads
ØMowing the sides of roads
ØSpring clean-up including road sweeping
ØRoadside bulk pickup in the Spring
ØCleaning and replacing catch basins and culverts
ØIssuing driveway permits and subsequent approval of completed driveway according to Town specifications
