Hurd's Corner Road Civic Association

Our road is special as part of a critical environmental area with several ponds, streams, and wetlands along its 1.5 mile length. The Appalachian Trail is accessible from Hurd's Corners Road and there is an entrance to the Pawling Nature Reserve as well. The Hurd's Corner Road Civic Association has been an active part of the annual Earth Day cleanup for the past 14 years.

Several pre-Revolutionary and historic homes can be found along our road. A monument to the original Pauling post office, also known as Campbellville or Hurd's Corners, stands at the south end of Hurd's Corner Road. Alongside this plaque there is another honoring one of Pawling's celebrities, Lowell Thomas. Frequently people park their car at the monument and stroll scenic Hurd's Corners Road.
